Award-winning, Latin Grammy-nominated composer Jimmy López has been described as "one of the most innovative and symphonically dynamic composers in the world today” (Lewis Whittington). His works have been performed by leading orchestras around the world, including all U.S. Big Five Orchestras, and his music has been heard in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall (BBC Proms), Concertgebouw, Sydney Opera House, Gewandhaus Lepzig, Kennedy Center, Vienna’s Musikverein, and Konzerthaus Berlin. His violin concerto Aurora, which was recorded by Leticia Moreno, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, and the Houston Symphony, was nominated to a 2022 Latin Grammy.
